Spectators will be able to buy £1 lottery tickets to enter a lottery on the outcome of each race.

Sprint

This is a very popular event in Japan where the prize for the winners is a bag of rice. In our event the winners will get a pack of local wild boar sausages each.

Endurance

If you're up to it, go for the endurance event over one hour.

Sponsors

We need sponsor to make this charity event a success. Sponsors get advertising on this site as well as signage at the event.

Sprint

Four times around the circuit for each team member, which is approximately 100m in length (an oval), so 400m in all and the winning team is the one finishing first.

Rules

  1. Wearing of a protective helmet is compulsory. Elbow pads, kneepads and gloves are strongly recommended.
  2. Competitors must supply their own chair(s). They must be given a safety inspection by the team immediately before use in an event.
  3. All teams are to wear matching shirts or similar to ease identification. Fancy dress is very acceptable.
  4. No intentional contact by riders with other riders or their chairs is permissible. Offenders can be disqualified.
  5. All riders and spectators are required to obey the instructions of marshals. Marshals will be wearing a Hi viz jacket.
  6. We will make every effort to ensure fairplay and that laps are correctly counted, however, in the event of any dispute the decision of our marshals is final.
  7. In the highly unlikely event of an accident occurring causing a significant injury, our marshals are empowered to stop the race immediately to allow for First Aid, or other treatment. There will be a First Aid presence throughout the events.
  8. Race numbers must be clearly displayed on chairs.
  9. Riders must be seated on their chairs during the event. Standing up and pushing the chair, or pushing assistance by any other team member is not allowed.
  10. If you decide not to take part or are unable to do so, your entry fee is a charitable donation

Endurance

Rather than once round the circuit, this race keeps going for an hour. Officials will keep count of your laps and the winning team will be the one completing most laps.

Each member needs to complete at least one lap. There are no rules for team strategy and team members need not share the laps equally.
